Additional Notes:

I made a mistake originally in the 1.04 and 1.05 draft slots for 2024.  The correction is reflected below.  Because Seattle and Iowa City split their season series and both had the same division record, 1 - 5, the tie-breaker for the higher draft position came down to total points.  Because Seattle had out-scored Iowa City (by 200+ points), Iowa City gets the higher draft slot in the 1st round as well as all other rounds.

Both Urbandale and New Orleans incorrectly picked in Week 17 in the Survivor Pool so both will split the second pool prize.

New Orleans won the Pick 'Em Pool with 13 correct in Week 17 and Lockridge won in Week 18 with 12 correct picks.

The Weekly Awards file has been sent to Flint River.  Sorry for the delay in finishing it up.

For anybody who may want to deal, I will be in the market for a decent, dependable QB.  Just don't think Sam Howell will be that guy.  And that's not even mentioning my wasted 1st round pick in 2023.  I may have some pieces others are interested in as well.  Maybe a deal can be made...

Championship Week Article:

Well, Flint River played the spoiler, if you will, by defeating the previously undefeated Lockridge Storm in last week’s Fantasy Bowl XXXI.  Flint River had its scoring spread around somewhat evenly among the positions while Lockridge had a tough go of it with their studs just not producing stud weeks.  If you can imagine this, and having it happen ALL in one week, the Storm did not have a single offensive player score a TD, outside of a 6-point rushing TD by Christian McCaffrey.  That’s six positions, QB, WR, and TE!  Again hats off to the Maulers on winning their third FFL-MtP title! 

For third place, Urbandale defeated Rivercity.  Fifth place was decided last week when Chicago beat New Orleans. 

The final standings are:

1^st – Flint River

2^nd – Lockridge

3^rd – Urbandale

4^th – Rivercity

5^th – Chicago

6^th – New Orleans 

The Loser’s Pool finished up like this:

Yes, you read that right…Burlington won the 1^st overall draft pick in the 2024 FFL-MtP draft by a mere 0.03 points.  Although, to be fair, Cascade did not submit a line up in Week 16 and had played both C.J. Stroud and Ja’Marr Chase, both known OUT.  So, with an actual lineup submitted, the difference wouldn’t have been that close.  But, still!!!

So the 2024 1^st Round Draft Order shows to be:

1. – Burlington         (winner of Loser’s Pool)
2. – Door County      (2-11; sucked, sucked, and sucked some more, then swallowed HARD)
3. – Keithsburg         (3-10; also sucked, just didn’t swallow like Door County did)
4. – Iowa City           (suckiest 4-9 team)
5. – Seattle               (not as sucky of a 4-9 team) 
6. – Alcatraz             (the least suckiest 4-9 team we have in the league)
7. – Chicago             (5^th place; QB, QB?, anybody want a QB??)
8. – New Orleans      (6^th place, the mirrors cracked during the playoffs)
9. – Urbandale         (3^rd place, pretty good finish for the 2^nd-year team)
10. –  Rivercity          (4^th place, tough result for the reigning back-to-back champ)
11. – Lockridge          (2^nd place, the studs let down in Week 16)
12. – Flint River         (3^rd time winning the trophy)

Survivor Pool:  Both Urbandale and New Orleans correctly picked Buffalo to win and both advance to Week 17.
